Mobile Mammography Service

October 20, 2017 is National Mammography Day

First piloted by the Screening Mammography Program of BC in 1990, the mobile mammography service visits more than 120 rural communities across BC, including more than 35 First Nations communities annually.  Mobile mammography service performs about 10% of the total number of screening mammograms in BC.

Screening mammograms are available for women 40 and over in BC. Women can make an informed decision to screen by visiting BC Cancer Agency to learn more, or can speak with their health care provider about their personal risk and the benefits and limitations of mammography.

To find out which communities mobile mammography service will be visiting next, search the clinic locator. Please note the start and end dates for mobile services. All fixed locations will appear as “Year Round”. If you cannot find a clinic in your community, please call us at 1-800-663-9203.
