This is a photo from a overnight hike with my husband to the lower lake of Triple Peak on Vancouver Island. It was one of the best hikes I’ve ever done! We were the only ones camping up there, and watched the fog roll over the valley as the sun set. So thankful for the opportunity to explore Vancouver island during my time travel nursing.

While on assignment in Port Alberni, I took a drive out to Tofino to surf for the day. On my way back, I decided to make a quick stop in the little fishing town of Ucluelet. Nearing the end of the day, I quickly headed for the Amphitrite Point Lighthouse. My dog and I went for a short walk to catch the last bit of the sunset creating a beautiful glow around the lighthouse and watched the stormy waves crash against the rocks. It’s moments like these that make me so thankful to be able to work and explore our beautiful province.
