In light of the recent tragedy that has swept across Australia, we would like to come together to raise money and awareness of the catastrophic fires.
A staggering 1 billion animals, and 28 people have died as of January 8th, 2020. The fires have also claimed an estimate of 10.7 million hectares (26 million acres; 107,000 square kilometers and destroyed over 5,900 buildings (including over 2,204 homes).
TravelNurse recruits and employs thousands of Healthcare Professionals to assist in providing temporary and permanent staffing relief all across Canada. As we work closely with remote and rural communities, and maintain healthcare partnerships with Australia, we’ve decided to create our own page to support the rural communities and wildlife of Australia while making it easy and accessible for everyone to donate.
100% of the proceeds will be sent to the two below Organizations:
Wires Australia is a Wildlife Organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation Australian Wildlife.
Blaze Aid is a volunteer-based organization that works with families and individuals in rural Australia after disasters.
If you wish to donate directly yourself, here are links to other organizations all working tirelessly to help every person and animal effected:
