Brianne, Client Services Manager, has been self-isolating, working from home and felt this would be a good time to share with you all a book that may help shift your mindset during this unprecedented time we are all facing. Cozy up on your couch, in your bed, on your patio, or wherever you are finding a spot to find solidarity to go deeper into your mind.

You are not doomed by your genes and hardwired to be a certain way for the rest of your life. New science is emerging that empowers all human beings to create the reality they choose.
In Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself: How to Lose Your Mind and Create a New One, Dr. Joe bridges the gap between the sciences of quantum physics, neuroscience, brain chemistry, biology, and genetics to show you what is truly possible. Not only will you be given the necessary knowledge to change any aspect of yourself, but you will be taught the step-by-step tools to apply what you learn to make measurable changes in any area of your life.
Right now is a great time to slow down, to step back and learn a bit more about yourself. This book, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself; How to Lose Your Mind + Create a New One by Dr. Joe Dispenza will do just that. If Joe Dispenza has not been introduced to you yet, I feel confident saying that he will soon become a regular name in your conversations regarding self-help. I feel incredibly blessed to have had this book lent to me, it followed me around everywhere. It came to me in a time of need and I hope it can do the same for you.
Instead of rushing through this book, I recommend sitting with it, taking regular reflection breaks and letting his teachings resonate with you before moving on. This will ensure you get the best results from the user-friendly guide of, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, which is broken up into three sections. You will first learn the science behind our minds, then how meditation can directly affect our brain waves and what we want to achieve for ourselves, and lastly, you will be taught how to put these processes into place in your everyday life.
In this book, there is a bridge created between science and spirituality by explaining how you can apply concepts of quantum physics to make your wildest dreams a reality through your thought process and meditation. Dispenza makes the understanding of brain science relatable, mixing it with the spirituality/metaphysics that help us break free from our limiting beliefs and emotions. This teaches us how to manage our emotions to create a life that is uplifting and full of abundance.
“To be empowered—to be free, to be unlimited, to be creative, to be genius, to be divine—that is who you are…. Once you feel this way, memorize this feeling; remember this feeling. This is who you really are….” ― Joe Dispenza
One of my greatest likes was that you do not have to have a background in neuroscience to learn from his teachings. Everything is provided with a definition, a diagram or layman’s terms for those of us who may not understand the science before reading this book. The breakdown of each section allows you to process, digest and absorb the material with a sense of ease and understanding.
“The hardest part about change is not making the same choices you made the day before.” ― Joe Dispenza
Final thoughts, without giving too much away, Breaking the Habit of Being Yourself, for me, felt like a guide on how to better myself and live a life manifesting unlimited possibility – which taught me the importance of self-love and self-worth.
I recommend this book to anyone who is on a journey to self-discovery or simply wants to improve themselves.
Especially in a time when we feel so much is out of our control. I recommend going into this read with an open mind and heart to allow it to impact your life for the better, don’t be scared to apply the strategies it shares with us. You won’t be disappointed!
Also: at the end of the book, Dispenza provides you with a 4-week meditation process to follow which allows you to put the practices into action!
I will leave you with this, “What you think today, determines how you live tomorrow.”
And as always, a huge thank you to all the healthcare professionals and members of essentials services, we understand you are the frontline of this pandemic. We salute you!
