As 2019 comes to end, we thought it would be a great idea to share a book that could have an impact on what you decide to do in 2020!
Whether you swam with sharks, learned to play an instrument, or traveled to a new place, 2019 had many adventures, big and small, for everybody to celebrate.
We have decided to share some of our Team Members favorite moments from the past year!
Check it out below!
Carole, Recruitment Specialist, relocated from Ontario to British Columbia! See Carol’s “Story From The Road” below:
“Hi! Here’s my adventure from the road! Some of you may already know me but others may not. My name is Carole Bolger and I am one of Solutions Staffing’s Recruitment Specialist. I’ve been with Solutions for almost 7 years and worked remotely from Ontario. I’ve relocated to BC and still work remotely. BC has been on my radar for many years! Well this year, we decided to sell our house and move West!
After many months of preparation, we were ready for the road! Well maybe not all of us!
Less then 48 hours to take off, I went from co-pilot/picture taker to pilot! I think he may have done this on purpose to get out of driving across Canada.

Day One – And the adventure starts at 5am on a Saturday morning! Northern Ontario is absolutely gorgeous, and the day was successful!
Day Two – It was still gorgeous in Northern Ontario but a small delay. We ended up with a flat tire but isn’t that a gorgeous sunrise!
Day Three – It was definitely another adventurous day……………..I know I will never drive for a living!
After a couple of snowstorms, near misses, we escaped the province of Saskatchewan.
Day Four – Mountains in the distance and no snow on the roads.
Driving through Alberta was stunning and it was a problem free day!
Day Five – The infamous Highway to Hell/Coquihalla. This day was by far one of the most beautiful drives I have ever been on………….also we finally arrived to our destination. So the excitement was high! We were lucky enough to have clear drive roads on the last stretch of the trip, not sure I could have handled a blizzard on this highway!
Our adventure driving across Canada came to an end but our new adventure living in BC has just started! It was an amazing adventure and would I do it again, YES, I would (just without trailers)! I was lucky enough to be able to drive across the country and take in the beautiful scenery our country has to offer. Every weekend, we have been out exploring and can’t wait for future adventures. My adventure pictures are on Instagram if you want to take a peek @justmemycamera.

“My friend Kerry and I are notorious for going on ‘adventures’ and getting in trouble and so when my parents knew she was coming with me, they thought we should get GPS trackers installed so they wouldn’t lose us. The first thing that happened is that we all decided to do a zipline excursion! High in the Sierra Madre, we ziplined, repelled and jumped into water. The last zipline of the day was a tandem one where you surfed along until you go to the other side of the platform. We hopped on, and were on our way… and then we fell off. While hanging from our safety gear, we were laughing while my parents were freaking out! We made it to land safely with some bruises and a good story! That night on the beach, we saw people flying through the air on little parachute propellers, and thought it would be great! My Mom indicated that for the rest of the trip Kerry and I were to have both feet on the ground… we grumbled, but agreed.

Moments Before The Fall…
Fast forward a couple days later to our next adventure! Kerry and I took off to head to the Malecon for a day and my parents strictly told us to meet them at the seahorse at 12:30 PM. We found it, sat around and waited and watched the clock tick closer to 1:00 PM. We watched whales, a group of street dancers and thought to ourselves, hmm… maybe this isn’t the right statue. We go and ask a gentleman if we are at the correct statue and he laughs and proceeds to tell us that we are a ‘unicorn’. We look at each other and run over the where the actual seahorse where my Mom was standing. She had sent my Dad and sister-in-law in opposite directions to find us!

Our “Seahorse”
Needless to say, 2019 was full of adventures and great memories! Mexico in 2020 has already been booked!”
Jo, Administration/HR Support, went white water rafting! See her story below

“This year I challenged myself to do something adventurous while on my annual road trip with my daughter. We had already experienced a calm, beautiful scenic float down the Fraser River in Robson Valley (McBride/Valemount) a couple years earlier. But my daughter had grown up quite a bit and she wanted to try something “crazier”. I was of thinking a hike with bear spray was risky enough but she had rapids on her mind. So although I was unsure, I bit the bullet and booked our spots on a white water raft. Well let me tell you that it was very worth stepping out of my comfort zone. The Clearwater River in the breathtaking Wells Gray Park did not disappoint. The adrenaline rush was worth the money itself, let alone the scenery, amazing people we met and time spent making a memory with my daughter.”
*We staff both the Robson Valley and Clearwater, check out what kinds of assignments we offer in these beautiful locations. (Both locations offer super cool rafting experiences)!
