Health Intentionally – This Girl is on Fire

If you think you recognize Danika you may be right!  She has been part of our team for a few years, travel nursing while completing her Nurse Practitioner and building her goals, it is a joy and privilege to introduce you to her business “Health Intentionally“.   Health Coaching and facilitation –

       ~Providing your mind and body with the knowledge and tools to live an exceptional life regardless of any pre existing medical conditions or physical limitations~

Danika lit up my life, I invite you to check out her website, facebook page and to review the podcasts she has put published to support healing and to support – well literally “Hijacking your health“.   I have known Danika since she was a baby, on and off, her mother owned the first daycare in Prince George that my son attended, and since then, we have become sisters in this journey.  Danika reached out to me when I was at my lowest with a simple intention to follow me back to health with coaching, meal plans and infusing joy into the process.  Her own joy is contagious and inspirational enough to coax me into plant based eating (mostly) that fits into my chaotic life.  She also introduced me to collaborating with experts  – spiritual coaching, fitness coaching, integrated yoga and meditation – Danika consistently takes WOW to the next level.

Danika Koopmans is just finishing her Masters to be a Family Nurse Practitioner and is now studying for licensing exams. Through her diagnosis of MS and amidst studying to be a FNP, she spent countless hours studying the effects of food on the body. When she learned the importance of nutrition and it’s role in healing the body, she created the company Health Intentionally.  Her passion is to provide people with the knowledge and tools to create sustainable, healthy lifestyle changes regardless of any pre-existing condition they may or may not have. She believes that when we feel good inside our body we can further improve the lives of those around us and create a vibrant and abundant life!

What is Health Intentionally?

Health Intentionally is a vision I have been dreaming about and preparing for many years. I am excited to finally share what I have learned and been working on to help you live an exceptional life. I will be taking on 4 clients this month and beginning an incredible journey of health and self-discovery with them.

The purpose of this program is to provide you with knowledge, empowerment, and tools to change your life.

Health Intentionally is more than a program, it is about developing strong habits which will provide you with the foundation for a lifetime of wellness.  The program focuses on the three key areas in your life that are essential for living a life of health, fulfillment, and joy. The three areas we will work together to strengthen are your

Mind

We will start with a private 2 hour health assessment via ZOOM. During this first meeting we will discuss your health goals. It will also give me a chance to understand the barriers and concerns you have been experiencing in your health journey.

I will then work closely with you over the next 24 weeks to guide you on a journey to a sustainable, healthy lifestyle. Each week we will tackle an important topic regarding health and wellness. We will examine the evidence in the medical literature. I will help breakdown the confusion so you can make sound choices backed by science that are tailored to your unique circumstances. A great deal of emphasis will be placed on nutrition, and the nourishment your body needs.

Just some of the important topics we will cover include:

misconceptions about food, supplements, sleep, sex, self-esteem, gratitude, slowing down

Body

I have teamed up with a certified personal trainer who understands the importance of regular physical activity. Together you will create a personalized workout plan. This plan can be adapted to your limitations. The goal of this plan is to keep you on track and committed to improving your physical strength, stamina, and wellness.  With regular exercise you will begin to notice benefits not only in these areas, but also in your mood and cognitive function.

Soul

Finally, an emphasis on developing a healthy spirit is essential to complete wellness. You will learn how to meditate and create a practice that is sustainable. Re-calibrating will allow you to flourish in times of adversity and emotional turmoil.  I am passionate about this program and would love to share more about it with you.
