“Since becoming an LPN in 2013 I had been drawn to the idea of being a travel nurse. After a few years of working in various LPN roles I knew it was time to make it happen. Brianne and Teri set me up with my first assignment in McBride, BC, mid-summer of 2017. Besides being incredibly excited to hit the road, I was also nervous. Well, there was no need to be feel that way. Not only did everyone working in the hospital make me feel welcome, but so did the entire town. That being said this is my fourth time returning.
This time on my days off, with much encouragement and advice from my co-workers here in McBride, I decided to visit a neighboring town, Jasper, AB. My sister came up to join me on my adventure. We planned out our must do’s and see’s basing it on late- summer weather, but to our surprise we ran into SNOW. Being glass half full kind of people we made the best of it. We managed to fit in multiple hikes, sightseeing, dining, shopping, hot springs and extremely competitive card games in a mere two night stay!
The entire trip was fantastic; the scenery, the wildlife and the time we spent together.
I don’t know many people who can say their job allows them to do what I get to.
I LOVE MY JOB!”
