Attention workation warriors in BC or those with future assignments in BC!
Climbing temperature and rapid snowmelt has led to the threat of a flood in some areas of BC. The following areas are currently into the WARNING zone by the province:
- Cariboo and Chilcotin (Fraser Plateau) including tributary rivers and streams around Williams Lake, Quesnel, Alexis Creek, Anahim Lake, Cache Creek and surrounding areas
- Nazko River and West Road River
The tributary rivers and streams around Chilako and south-west of Prince George and are under the flood watch. The snowmelt rates are expected to remain high today and tomorrow. As advised, please stay clear from the fast-flowing rivers and unstable riverbanks till the high steam flow period is over.
