Type of Position: 14 months contract *with a possible extension
Reports To: VP of Operations
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 9-5; Friday 8-4
Location: Prince George, BC
Job Summary
The Travel Coordinator organizes and executes all logistics regarding travel and accommodation of an external employee going on an assignment.
Primary Responsibilities and Duties
- Coordinate with the Office Manager on any department approvals and travel logistic concerns
- Provide best travel plans to external employees that meet their contract requirements
- Research, compare, reserve, purchase and act as a liaison for airline tickets, rental cars and hotel accommodations that best suits the healthcare professional needs keeping the company’s and client’s interest in mind
- Assist healthcare professionals during their travel until their contract is completed
- Enter billing information and maintain travel-related records and documents in Salesforce
- Ensure accounts are current and in an orderly manner, ensuring any direct bill accounts are reviewed and paid in full
- Identify and recommend opportunities for efficiencies
- Provide feedback on travel and expense policies
- Assist with reconciliation of credit card statements
- Source housing in assignment locations
- Provide cost assessments for travel logistics
- Provide excellent customer service to external employees as well as the clients
- Coordinate and provide travel details to the healthcare facility
- Assist Office Manager in covering after-hours helpline
Qualifications
- Successful completion of a diploma or certificate in tourism, or relevant experience
- Proficiency in computer skills including the ability to research and Microsoft Office
- Typing speed of minimum 40 WPM
- Prior background and/or experience in a related field is an asset
