It’s that time of the year where weather can have an effect on your travel arrangements! Our Travel Team is always working hard to make sure that our Travelers get where they need to be and are able to assist in the event of delays, cancellations and road closures. In the event that there are disruptions to your travel this winter season, we have provided a quick guide on the proper procedures to follow in case of a travel delay!
If TravelNurse has booked all your travel, all updates in regards to delay or cancellations will come directly to TravelNurse. If your plane is cancelled ahead of time, TravelNurse will be notified and our Travel Team will make all of the appropriate arrangements to ensure you make it to your assignment on schedule!. The Travel Department will always send you an updated itinerary via email to reflect any changes made.
If you have booked your own travel, please contact TravelNurse and inform the Travel Team with any cancellations or delays so that the Facility can be notified.
If you arrive at the airport and your plane has been delayed or cancelled, please make your way to the Desk Agent. They will have the most up to date information regarding when the plane will leave, or any flights that you have been scheduled on.
Once you have been provided all the information about the new flight times, please contact TravelNurse at the following:
During Office Hours: 1-866-355-8355
24/7 Emergency Travel Logistics: 1-866-554-5605
TravelNurse will work with you to ensure that any connecting travel is re-booked according to the update flight times. In the event that you need so stay overnight in a community, TravelNurse will book a hotel and update all the legs or your journey accordingly.
If any delays or cancellations impact your first shift or orientation day, TravelNurse will connect with the facility to make the proper changes to your schedule.
